2022 FALL CLASSES

LEVITICAL PRIESTHOOD

The Levitical Priesthood that’s traced through the three sons of Levi -- namely Gershon, Kohath  and Meraites. We will explore their sacred consecration and the steps taken before each priest operated in this divinely-appointed office. In our studies we will observe Christ in all the scriptures; and the priesthood represented as Aaron and his sons pictured Christ. The Levites represented the first born picture of Christ and the sacrifices and offerings in whole or in part picture Christ. Christ is the first and best of all these things and God has given them, in Christ, as a gift to the world.

As we continue our studies, we will come to understand the practice of the levitical priesthood even as it shows the method God has used to reconcile man back to himself. Finally we will conclude our studies by noting the similarities and differences of the priesthood of Israel to that of the New Testament priesthood; answering such questions as

  •   who is the head of the New Testament order of priests;
  •   what individuals comprise the New Testament priesthood; and
  •   what are the duties and responsibilities of these new testament priests?

With the help of the Lord, the study of the levitical priesthood promises to bless, enlighten, educate, and inspire anyone and everyone who would take the time to systematically study the word of God

MINISTERIAL ETHICS

In this course we will seek to teach the unique moral role of ministers and the ethical responsibility that clergy should assume in our personal and professional lives. It is not just for leaders, it can be for anyone in the church  because we’re all still saints.

We will deal with family life issues, truth telling, political involvement, working with communities and other church staff members. We will dig deep into the role of character, confidentiality, and clergy sex abuse in the church world. We will deal with a lot of different topics, a lot of exciting topics. Everyone has a lot of opinions like behind closed doors, being wounded in the church, eating while you’re bleeding, in the church, when the saints go wild.

KNOWING THE VOICE OF GOD

The key to knowing the voice of God is through His word. The more Word you know, the more clearly you hear His voice. Jesus said my sheep hear my voice. He speaks to us not just through the prophets or the leadership of the Church of God. He hears and He answers our prayers.

God's voice has called many throughout history to be, to go, and to do during some of the most exciting times in history. Hearing the voice of God is a learning process. He calls us to go into all the world with the ageless message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We must learn how to hear God above the chaos of life and respond passionately in faith.

God’s voicewas audibly heard more than 40 times throughout the Bible. The phrase hear my voice, heed my voice, and obey my voice appears throughout scriptures. God took a walk in the garden one evening and asked Adam where are you? He spoke to Abraham and told him to get up and go out of his land and go to a place where I will show you. It's something about when God calls that name twice Moses Moses. He spoke to a little boy who had never experienced God before. God called his name Samuel Samuel.

God doesn’t just speak audibly, but He speaks to our subconscious, as well as through nature and in these last days, God is speaking loud and clear. Expect to hear God more clearly than ever before.

WOMAN'S ROLES IN THE 21st CENTURY CHURCH

The goal of this class is to study to understand what it is that God has to say about women in the church, in the home, and in society at large. We will use the interpretive method to understand God‘s original purpose for humankind with an emphasis on women in particular. We will use as a basis for that study Genesis Chapters 1 and 2 as well as other scriptures. We will see how sin disrupted God’s created order and we will see how God created women and how an improper interpretation of scripture has painted a distorted view of how women are treated still today in society, in some churches, and even in our homes sad to say.

Together we will examine key scripture that is often taken out of context -- for example women being silent in the church. Why was that said? What does Jesus mean or what did the Apostle mean when he said that? How has that scripture been misrepresented in the church for many, many years and in some churches still today? Together we'll look at some scriptures that are often taken out of context. We will study the creation and the fall, the negative effects on male-female relationships, and the length to which God went to reverse it. That is called redemption. We will discover what the Bible says about a woman's place in her church, in her family and society. We will do this through the exegesis of scripture; and that simply means to study the original and intended meaning of a passage of scripture.

You Are Not Alone

It's Just As If You Are Here

Virtual doesn't mean alone. Our classes are interactive. Students just like you gather together online and study the Bible in a systematic manner. Some are students wanting to grow spiritually, some are missionaries pursuing a degree, others are people who are just like you; who are learning so that they may become, pastors, teachers, and leaders in their individual churches and ministries.

We offer structured schedules which enables you to not only study online, but to also engage with teachers and other students who are sharing in the same pursuit for knowledge.

I grew up Catholic, worshipped idols, and practiced a mixture of what is in the Bible and the church's teachings. Bethel Bible Institute taught me to believe and practice only what is written in Scripture and study it systematically. The Word of God says, "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."(2 Tim. 2:15 ). I now know that there is only one true and living God, and my Diploma in Bible Studies will enable me to win souls to Christ.

I have attended Bethel Bible Institute over a course of 10 years starting out taking one class at a time simply with the desire of a systematic study of the Bible as a new believer.  Since then I have progressed to obtaining my Bachelor's degree.  BBI has given me a solid foundation in my knowledge of the Word which has challenged me to grow, to study purposefully, and to share the Word with others.  Every course has been inspirational.  Each professor offers a wealth of Biblical knowledge and insight to instruct, edify and engage the students.

Romans 12.2 (KJV) states, in part, “…but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, …”. Once you delight in the Lord, he will give you the desires of your heart (Psalms 37:4-ESV). I was seeking a way to study God's word…BBI. When the best bible school in town decided to use the ZOOM platform to spread GOD'S word…BBI. I desired to learn HIS word to be a better leader for the men’s ministry I am apart of…BBI.

It's never too late to go back to school. It has been 30+ years since I was in a classroom environment. In May 2023, I should be obtaining the Biblical Studies diploma. Just give GOD your YES and allow HIM to do the rest.

I have found BBI to be a source of blessing.  It has allowed me to grow in the Word of God on a deeper level.

The teachers are not spoon feeding you but they challenge you to think, to not take things at the surface level, but to research what you are being taught , but most importantly, what does the Word of God say about that particular topic.  I have learned not to be a careless listener, but BBI has also created in me an insatiable  hunger to know God more and His love for us.

Since BBI is now online, it enables me to learn wherever I am. Attending BBI has increased my knowledge of God's Word. I've learned how the Old and New Testaments are connected, and iearning how to search the scriptures has increased my understanding more than I can say.

The instructors help bring the Bible to life by encouraging meaningful discussions that encourage thoughtful responses to the subject matter.
