Course Descriptions

Classes In Bachelor's Program

AUTHORITY OF THE BELIEVER: A study of the authority all believers possess when in spiritual warfare.

BLOOD COVENANT: The covenant of God to His people has always been sealed with blood. The course of this covenant between God and His people is demonstrated throughout the Word of God.

BOOK OF MATTHEW: This course is based upon the Gospel of Matthew. Matthew, a former despised tax collector, penned the gospel that bears his name. He addressed the deteriorating state of the church and set out to bring correction to disillusioned, wayward and overconfident believers. Matthew left his readers a true meaning of righteousness of the gospel, the standard of discipleship, the reason for the Lord’s delay in returning. This message is applicable for the church in every generation in all lands.

CHRISTIAN LIFE: This class is designed to teach us how we are supposed to live. Paul said that whenever possible, we’re to live our lives at peace; especially within the house of faith. In our days we need to learn the pattern for gracious living more than understanding doctrine, we as Christians must have our power to conform to the cross of Christ. This course provides steps towards the balanced Christian walk. The initiatives in the Christian life are never ours, the opening moves is always God’s; at the dawn of creation - God, at our conception at birth - God, at our rebirth through faith - God, the province that guides our lives every step of the way - God. All begins with Him, all is ever within His love and care. His — the initiative; ours — the response. God plants the seed, we produce the harvest, though in truth He is at work in that too.

EPHESIANS: Ephesians offers general instruction in the truths of God’s redemptive work in Christ; the unity of the church among diverse peoples; and proper conduct in the church, the home, and the world.

FAITH DYNAMICS: Matthew 17:20b says the following: “For surely I say to you, if you have faith, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there and nothing shall be impossible for you. Nothing will be impossible for you. In this class we will be discussing in detail the dynamics of mountain moving faith and their relationship to the believer. As students of the Word of God, we need to have a clear understanding of how faith works and its Biblical foundation. Faith is not static, faith is dynamic. Faith works as James says. Faith works. We can talk about faith, we can read about faith, we can study faith, but unless faith produces action, it benefits you nothing.

FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT:   This course defines and discusses the fruit of the Spirit and urges you to permit the Holy Spirit to transform your character to become progressively more like Christ.

HERMENEUTICS: Hermeneutics is the theory and methodology of interpretation, especially the interpretation of biblical texts, wisdom literature, and philosophical texts.

JOURNEY TO SPIRITUAL FORMATION: This course examines the biblical perspectives on God’s plans and purposes for man and how God through his love and grace helps man to develop a believer’s personality through stages of spiritual development.

PASTORAL MINISTRY: The term pastoral ministry relates to shepherds and their role caring for sheep. The Bible does not explicitly define the role of a pastor but associates it with teaching. Pastoral ministry involves shepherding the flock.

PRINCIPLES & POWER OF PRAYER: To show the vital contribution of prayer in developing the whole person mentally, physically, and spiritually. A study is made of both Old and New Testament prayer life, with special emphasis on the prayer life of Jesus and the early church.

THE GOSPEL OF JOHN: In this course we will inquire into this masterpiece of the Gospel of John. It is not one of the synoptic gospels, it stands on its own. We will search the scriptures from the Old Testament and the New Testament to gain a greater personal discovery of the preeminence of Jesus as it is recorded in John’s gospel. In this class we might say listen, we’re searching the scripture to recognize that missing piece in that intricate puzzle--in that book and once it’s discovered, suddenly the Bible from the beginning to the end unveil God’s masterpiece. And what’s His masterpiece? The Word, the Word that became flesh and dwelt among us. So we will confess this powerful gift that God has given to us. We will look at 18 inquires. To find out what these 18 inquiries are, you must register for this masterpiece class as we delve into the Gospel of John.

THE HEALING COVENANT: As believers we must understand and operate in the ministry of healing. We must understand there are different kinds of healing, both physical, internal and inner healings. We are going to talk about the healing of relationships, healing of spiritual hurts. We talk about the concerns of healing the church. In a world where there is so much sickness and disease, there are areas that God has provided to the Body of Christ and covenants the Lord stands by. We will look at the purpose of sickness, the need for healing, and the process of healing. This class gives an unusual and unique perspective that will challenge all that want to be part of this life-changing course.

THE ROYAL PRIESTHOOD: The course presents studies in the priesthood of the believer. It is intended to help the believer to “come boldly to the throne.” The course examines the functions, responsibilities and blessings of being a priest in the body of Christ.

THEOLOGY OF WORSHIP:  Emphasis on who we worship and why is dynamically illustrated and taught in this course.
This course discusses in detail the dynamics of faith and their relationship to the believer.

INTRODUCTION TO CHARISMATIC THEORY: This course will focus on the prime interest in the person and work of the Holy Spirit in the  church that has produced some serious conflicts in doctrinal beliefs. The Holy Spirit is the active agent in the earth realm today. Charisma is one of the most important subjects of our day. We must realize that without the move of the Holy Spirit, the church is rendered hopeless. We will deal with the introduction of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We are going to take a quick journey to Azusa Street because Azusa Street is where everything seemed to come to life. It just flared up. The course is going to include how to use the gifts because we have so many people that are gifted in the House of God, and have no clue as to how to operate in the gift, so we are going to look at that as well.
