Students will engage in a broad spectrum of Christian doctrine and be prepared to recognize, understand and communicate with others who practice various other religions, doctrines and lifestyles.

In these ever-changing times, students pursuing this degree will always be ready to give an answer for the hope that lies within them.

Upon receiving this degree, each student is expected to be able to conduct biblical research, knoq how to properly interpret the scriptures, and how to write sermons.

It is designed to give students aspiring to the Ministry the tools necessary to not only rightly divide the Word of Truth; but to impart the same to others whether it be one-on-one, a class setting, a pulpit or any other ministerial challenge that is set before them.

FALL 2023 CLASSES

 FIVE FOLD MINISTRY

What is the 5-fold ministry? What is that all about? Well, if you don't know, you need to be taking this course and you need to know if you are one of these Five Fold Ministers; however, let me say this there is a difference between the gifting and the phone. The difference between the gifting and the office the Five Fold Ministry consists of Apostles, Prophets, Pastors Teachers and Evangelist, but one thing you must know about these offices, these people are not just what they do it's who they are - big difference.The gifting is what you do maybe, but the office is who you are. You are a pastor 24/7. You don't take off your hat at 5 o'clock and say I'm no longer a Pastor Monday through Friday 24/7. You should also know that these offices are appointed by God; you cannot make yourself an Apostle, you cannot make yourself a Pastor. These are given to men, If you're not sure, go to Ephesians 4:11 read it very quickly. So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ (NIV,)

 

THE DEVIL'S DOOR

Devil's Door exposes the root of all the enemies' avenues of control in the believers' life today and my God he is infiltrating big time today. We need to be able to fasten on the things that are going on. The spirit of deception is the strongest, active spirit that's in the Earth's realm today. Satan is the master of deception. Jesus said he would not only deceive us, but is the very father of it.. Jesus also warned us that his delusions and deceptions would become so strong in the last days, that if it were possible, even the elect would fall prey to them. We now live in those days. 

There are two important universal principles that we will look at: 1) obedience - keep the devil'’'s door shut, denying satan legal access; and 2) disobedience - hold the door wide open, giving him legal access. These principles are easy to agree with, but quite difficult to live out especially in today’s culture where lawlessness abounds. The goal in this class is to deny the devil access.

 INTRODUCTION TO PROPHECY

We will seek to discover the role of the prophetic ministry, and why it's so necessary. In this class we will get answers to the most common questions people ask about prophecy and prophets and see how prophets  differ from psychics; and prophecies are different from divination. What's the difference between a psyche and a prophet?  In this class, we will bring to light what the prophetic should, and should not do, and demystify the preconceived ideas that people have about those that function them. We will distinguish between the different types of prophets  and examine the gifts connected to the prophetic. 

 

HERMENEUTICS

We live in a time when you can get your coffee either regular, decaf, espresso or however you want it. You want it cold, iced, cream,, non-dairy creamer, sugar; is it raw plain, organic or sweet and low or Splendor or so on and so on. There's just so many variations of getting your coffee and we have been bombarded with so many different versions of the Bible and so each version is the best version when we do a study of translating or interpreting scripture. Do we want a scripture that is raw,  plain, Old Testament, or New Testament, Greek or Hebrew? Is the scripture sweet or low or is it just blended? Well, if you enroll in our class in hermeneutics, we will give you a practical way to study scripture, select the applicable version of the Bible that you want to use and then we would know how motto goes in BBI to study to show ourselves approved unto God, workman  that rightly divide the Word of Truth. The fact that that scripture tells me that we would rightly divide the Word of Truth, teaches me that there may be an inappropriate way to divide the Word of Truth, or divide the truth wrongly so when you take a course like hermeneutics, we begin to see and put to use the proper understanding of God's Word and interpreting it rightly.  We will study parables, Hebrew poetry, and all the various fascinations of Bible genre that the Bible is written in.
